The DotAsia Board Elections 2013 was held between December 2012 and February 2013. Nominations were conducted electronically and according to the finalized Board Elections Procedures 2013 , which was drafted based on DotAsia’s Memorandum & Articles of Incorporation . A first draft of the Board Elections Procedures was posted on Nov 14, 2012, and a finalized Board Elections Procedures was published on Dec 3, 2012.
The nominations period commenced on Dec 5, 2012 and concluded on Jan 9, 2013. The results of the nominations are posted below.
The voting period was scheduled to commence on Jan 23, 2013 and conclude on Feb 6, 2013. However since the number of candidates standing for election in the Sponsor Member category is equal to the number of vacancies in that category, no voting was required, and the election results are posted below.

The second for Tommy MATSUMOTO was received late on Jan 10, 2013 16:01 UTC. An indication of a second was received within the nomination period, however an official submission was not received until shortly after the cut-off time. It was resolved in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on February 24, 2013 that the seconding of the candidate was accepted as valid.
Drawing of lots was conducted to determine the term of service for the Co-Sponsor Member Category. Based on results of the drawing of lots, Tommy MATSUMOTO will serve on the board for 2 years and Ching CHIAO will serve for 1 year.
Results of the election were ratified in DotAsia’s annual general meeting (AGM) which was held in Singapore on Feb 24, 2013.
In this Board Elections, all elected Directors shall serve on the board for 2 years, except Ching CHIAO who will serve for 1 year, and the term of service was to begin from Feb 24, 2013.
